The 7 Best Krakow Restaurants by Cuisine

Krakow, Poland is a vibrant, youthful city filled with some amazing places to eat. Here is a guide to 7 of the best Krakow restaurants in the city center.

This list is not meant to be a comprehensive guide to all Krakow restaurants. It is simply some of our favorite places here at Eastern European Travel.

Polish

Smakołyki

Smakołyki

A charming restaurant just across the street from the Old Town Square in Krakow. They have a wide variety of Polish dishes and are very reasonably priced for the quality that you get.

In addition, you can get a great view of the surrounding streets. Fantastic spot for a date or just a nice dinner with friends.

Starka

Starka

Located in the Kazimierz (Jewish) quarter of Krakow, Starka has a longstanding reputation for some of the best Polish food in the city.

Excellent presentation and taste. Don’t miss it–and make sure you try the homemade pierogis.

American

MooMoo

MooMoo

MooMoo has some of the best burgers in all of Europe, in our opinion. High-quality meats (and they’re not just limited to burgers!) makes it a favorite amongst meat lovers.

Bobby Burgers

Bobby Burgers

If you’re looking for something a little bit quicker than a sit-down meal, check out Bobby Burgers. They’re significantly better than McDonald’s or Burger King and will be faster than a place like MooMoo.

They have multiple locations spread throughout Krakow.

Italian

Trattoria Mama Mia

Trattoria Mama Mia

Mama Mia is a favorite with both tourists and the local Poles of Krakow. Located near the theater (west side of Rynek Glowny), it’s an easy location to get to.

Nolio

Authentic Neapolitan pizza place that is actually registered and certified with a pizza company from Naples, Italy.

Here is everything you need to know about Naples pizza!

Mexican

Alebriche

Owned and operated by a family who originally hails from Mexico–this place is truly the real deal. You know this is the case because the kind lady who helps you (most of the time!) doesn’t speak a lick of Polish. However, she’s happy to speak English or Spanish to you.

Of course, if you want to speak Polish there are people there who can speak it 😉

Alebriche Chicken Fajitas

In the future, we’ll showcase more of our favorite Krakow restaurants. Where are your favorite places to eat in this beautiful Polish city?
