How to Date Polish Girls / Women (and Impress Them)

Polish girls represent a changing of the guard. Poland is more or less the “bridge” from Western and Eastern Europe. In Western Europe, you’ll have much more of the American way of life. Once you hit Poland though, things start to change…

Many men grow tired of their dating choices in the West, and look abroad. Polish girls are one of the options that many consider, and for good reason.

They speak excellent English, are intrigued by Western culture, but yet it’s still quite different than dating in Western countries and cities.

And did I mention that Polish women are extremely beautiful? You have all the reasons in the world to want to date them!

Those of you who are interested in going to Poland, listen up. Here are some things you simply must know if you want to date Polish girls. Ignore them at your own peril!

How to find Polish girls looking for a date?

First of all, unless you’re the brave type that can approach girls on the street, clubs and friend circles remain the best way to meet them. But there’s also one underrated option that many ignore – which is great for you, because you will now get an advantage.

The easiest way to find a Polish woman that is ACTIVELY interested in getting into a relationship is joining an online dating website.

And I’m not talking about any website that might end up with you getting scammed or cheated or just wasting time.

I am talking about a solid website like International Cupid. This one has been around for years, it is extremely secure and, very important – it has lots of women from Poland looking to find a date.

Since they’re on this premium website, they already know English (some Polish ladies can’t speak English!), they want a relationship so they’re more open to at least talk to you and they also give you one huge advantage.

The competition is much lower than anywhere else. Not only that – but since you’re paying for the monthly subscription, you also send them a message.

That clearly states that you’re not looking to waste time and you’re definitely not a freeloader. All these advantages will make it easy for you to quickly find a date!

Forget about Tinder (where competition is huge and gold-diggers are aplenty), forget about awkward situations where you have to approach strangers directly! Give this website a try and you will be thankful!

Dating Polish women

Now that we’ve got the meeting them problem solved, let’s move on and talk about what it’s like to date Polish women and what you should know to get the upper hand.

1. They Love the West

In comparison to places like Ukraine or Russia, Poland is far more westernized.

McDonald’s, KFC, and Burger King have popped up in all of the major cities. And they keep adding new ones at a fast (and terrifying) pace.

While I hope that it doesn’t get to the point where you have five McDonald’s in a 3 block radius, this does work to your advantage when it comes to Polish girls.

Simply put, they’re fascinated by Western culture. They like the celebrities, movies, and the food.

Like many people living or growing up in Eastern Europe, the American Dream is still alive but generally all people coming from the West are considered more interesting than others. So a big plus for you!

2. The Courtship Process

There doesn’t need to be one in Poland. They are more open to the pleasures of life than far Eastern European countries.

Polish culture has made hookups okay. Remember what I said about how Polish women love Western culture?

Well, that doesn’t just extend to the movies and food.

While a few of them (and it’s really not many) only want to date local Polish men, most Polish girls are more than open to the idea of dating a foreigner. Or at least going on one date.

It seems that Polish women have more or less just embraced the entire hookup culture that (for better or worse) exists in the West.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that you can go out there waving your passport and ladies will start fighting over you.

Nor that many ladies are interested in just a one night affair with you.

It just means that they are generally open minded, and you don’t have to court them for long amounts of time, take them to a few dates and get their dad’s blessing before sharing the first kiss.

3. The 1st Date with Polish Girls

If you’re a Western guy and you’re dating abroad in Poland, prepare for the questions. They’re going to come hard and fast.

They’re going to wonder why you’re in her city/country, why you don’t like Western culture (tread carefully!), and what you like about Polish girls.

Many Westerners come to Eastern Europe (including Poland) just looking for casual fun with ladies. As we saw already, they aren’t really a fan of this practice, so they will have to make sure that you’re a real, genuine human being and you’ll treat them with the respect they deserve.

Another important thing to know when it comes to the first date (and the ones to follow):

You do not need to do anything over the top.

It’s true that Polish women love their vodka and beer, so just keep it casual.

While you don’t have to take her to a grungy college dive bar (though many of them “grew up” in those places and love them), you also don’t have to try to impress her too much.

In all likeliness, she’s fascinated by who you are and where you came from. She just wants to meet you and spend time with you, regardless of where you take her.

It is in your best interest to not dress too casual, but also not too over-the-top. They seem to appreciate style and your interest in good clothes and accessories but they won’t matter that much in the end.

After all, you can even use this as a solid sign if you found yourself a gold digger or not: if she wants you to take her to the luxury places in town, pay for everything and give her gifts, she might not be that much into you.

Regular Polish girls and women just enjoy the company and the place you take them for the first date doesn’t matter a lot, so there’s no need to go over the top.

A good middle ground is a simple lounge bar. An good example of the style I’m talking about is this bar in Krakow.

4. Go “Casual”

Polish girls in many cases aren’t looking to get wifed up ASAP. Therefore, it’s okay to take the dating process slow.

You don’t need to propose or do anything crazy in order to win her affection. If she likes you, just keep hanging out with her and eventually things will progress.

5. Once You’re in a Relationship with a Polish Girl…

You’ll find that they’re actually very feminine, sweet, and generally care for their man. They want to bring their best to a relationship.

In these aspects, Polish women are actually very true to their Eastern European roots – not the Western culture they tend to embrace in a dating aspect.

No, once a relationship blossoms you can expect far more of an Eastern European women experience than a Western one.

This is a good thing, you almost get the best of both worlds. You can have the casual dating experiences if you’d like, but at least you’ve got the option of finding a good girl for a relationship. That’s rare in the West.

She’ll probably introduce you to some Polish traditions, make you some pierogis, and introduce you to her friends – potentially family, too.

It’s a very interesting dynamic to see and date on a serious level when you’re living abroad. I suspect anyone reading this article will not be disappointed about the dating scene in places like Poland.

How to impress a Polish girl?

We have already talked about this above, but I wanted to have a slightly more organized paragraph or two for those who want to bring up their A game and impress the girls there.

If you’re a Westerner, you get bonus points from the start – even more so if you are from the USA or Canada.

You don’t need to go over the top trying to impress the ladies in Poland – they can smell the bulls*** easily and they won’t fall for it.

Instead, be a genuine guy, be honest and treat her with respect. Be polite – chivalry’s not dead in Poland – and let her know that you care about her feelings and opinions.

It doesn’t hurt to show that you can indeed support yourself (and her, if needed) by taking her to a slightly above-average place for a drink or buying her a larger bouquet of flowers or such.

But that’s all you should do – in the end, you want somebody who is interested in you for who you are and not what you can buy.

BONUS: Best cities to meet Polish girls

Krakow is a college town, and an excellent place to live overall. With some 30 or so universities in the town itself, the dating opportunities are plentiful. So this is by far the best place to meet Polish girls, perfect for the younger folks out there.

And if you want to really get the most out of Krakow, make sure to check my previous article about the best restaurants there.

Warsaw tends to be a little bit on the sleepy side, despite being a “bustling” capital city. Many people there are stuck in office jobs and careers, and so from experience the dating scene is harder.

Wroclaw is a smaller version of Krakow, and simply not as vibrant or with as much to do.

I can’t speak personally to other cities in Poland, but I can only imagine that since the expat scene is not that active and foreigners are less common, you would find it even easier to find a nice woman to date.

Conclusion

Polish girls are a ton of fun. I can’t stress that enough. In many Eastern European countries, the dating culture is a bit more “cold”. Not in Poland. Girls are warm, bubbly, fun, and just want to live life to the fullest.

You won’t be disappointed and it’s truly worth investing your time (and money) in going to Poland and meeting a genuine lady there.

PS: Make sure to check out International Cupid to make things a lot easier in the meeting and dating department. You won’t be disappointed either!
