Lithuanian women are unlike anything you have ever come across – they are amongst the most beautiful, elegant, intelligent, and all around awesome girls you will meet, but they have their cons.

Today, I am going to share with you my opinion on Lithuanian women – what do they like, how are they in relationships, where to meet them and a lot more. It’s up for you to deice if it is a good idea to date them or not.

To be honest, I can’t guarantee that I can give you a definite answer. I could, however, tell you about what they are like in my opinion. You decide for yourself if it’s worth it (I kind of still think it is).

Lithuanian Girls Are Curvy(er)

I don’t mean the obese, ‘body positivity’ activist curvy, of course. Lithuanian girls, unlike the other Baltic women, do have some curves.

Overall, the women of Lithuania are just more naturally feminine. They tend to have delicate face features, let their hair grow out (and they have the best hair in the world), and they flaunt their curves.

These are confident women that don’t strive to go for the “anorexic” type of perfection that some media tries to impose, while not going to the other extreme of “I’m overeating because fat is beautiful”.

The only term I can use to describe them is – natural. It’s difficult to find women that are as natural as Lithuanians are today!

I am going to try and make this sound as non-offensive as possible, because, yes, I am not trying to offend anyone (Lithuanian women will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart).

But these girls are kind of desperate. Where they live, the female to male ratio is ridiculously off: just 86 men for every 100 women (source).

There are simply not enough men for these stunning modelesque creatures to date, so for being a male, you’re already at a huge advantage.

Sure, it doesn’t mean that they will settle for a low quality individual. These are high-value girls that are amazing and they know it and they’d rather be single than date a creep.

Speaking of high-value, let’s recap what that even means for the average Eastern European girl vs. the average Lithuanian girl:

1. Most Eastern European girls love to feel protected and well taken care of. They play the vulnerability card all too often and guess what, it does work to get them a masculine man.

Lithuanian girls, on the other hand, are nowhere as gullible. They are pretty and smart and they know it. And they also know that not all guys have the purest of intentions.

The other way to escape the ‘we literally can’t communicate’ problem is… body language. It is universal and also I have noticed that Lithuanian people mostly flirt through body language.

Obviously, don’t make her uncomfortable. If you feel that she is interested though, go ahead and step into her close personal space.

Lingering touches, speaking in a low voice and leaning in, even having your hand around her waist as you speak are all great ways to flirt.

And, from my humble experience, they are what supercharges the attraction-tension and turns a simple conversation into an exciting interaction.

You Will Have Some Competition

You might have noticed a trend in most articles we do about women in the Baltic region.

The guys are few, they drink a lot, smoke a lot, cheat, and sometimes they are even physically abusive.

I have to tell you that Lithuanian men are definitely a step above that. Unlike many other countries, Lithuania can boast some very handsome guys who are also these smooth talking experts in seduction – a.k.a. competition for you.

The one thing you can do is appeal to her ego (without moulding yourself to her expectations, of course).

Make a genuine effort to know her instead of showering her with cheap compliments.

Yes, she knows her eyes are pretty and that she has a great figure. But you would be surprised at how few guys ask about her childhood/passions/career expectations etc.

Call me old-fashioned, but unless you strictly want a one-night stand, compatibility will matter more than looks anyway.

Explore it in the early stages of dating Lithuanian women – you will be doing yourself a favor while melting her heart at the same time. Same as with Estonian girls, about which we’ve already talked in a previous article.

Lithuanian Girls: How to Impress them?

So do these confident, driven, beautiful women ever have fun? Yes, and you will find the nightlife in Lithuania exceeds your expectations.

Although the country was a part of the Soviet Union, it is very Westernized at this point.

Which means that the house parties and the bar hangouts to show off your new outfit (which are so popular in other Eastern European countries) are not what a typical night out looks like.

There are plenty of great clubs in Vilnius and even smaller towns have a buzzing nightlife. Beyond the clubbing scene, Lithuanian girls also like to keep busy overall.

You will not find them spending their free day under the covers watching Netflix. Most women in Lithuania (and most people in general) are all about getting the most out of life.

They love exercising, traveling, going to concerts and other fun events, dancing, exploring art galleries etc. Which is absolutely awesome, if you ask me!

There is always something happening in Lithuanian cities – even small places like Trakai – and people take full advantage of these events. It’s a very open, outdoorsy culture (in spite of the low temperatures).

Never a dull moment when you are dating Lithuanian women. Or in Lithuania in general.

Beware The Babushkas!

This one is not about the girls, it is about their mothers, grandmothers, aunts, great aunts etc.

Dating Lithuanian women can be tricky because the older generation is not all that accepting of foreigners.

Families in Lithuania are very protective of their children, especially of their daughters. Besides, most families just have one kid. So there you have the situation:

• She is their only child
• And a daughter
• AND you come from a place of completely different culture

Expect some reluctance to trust you from their part.

The old women are also really into gossiping (as most Eastern European babushkas are).

Chances are, your Lithuanian girl has to deal with people whispering about her relationship on a daily basis. Not everybody is super enthusiastic about dating a foreigner.

Some would say she is renouncing her culture and traditions to be with you, that you will not be an equal partner, that you two can’t actually even be in love because you don’t understand her on a fundamental level.

You can choose to believe this or you can choose not to.

Either way, it will probably be true to some extent. Dating abroad has its unique challenges.

An obvious one would be language – I am a firm believer that you can’t truly get to know somebody before you can speak in their language.

Bi/Multilingual people literally change personalities when they switch languages. But does this have to kill your chances of a great relationship with a Lithuanian girl? Nope!

Dating Lithuanian Women Long Term

Casual flings aside, long-term relationships require more than your utter admiration of her looks (and hopefully brains).

Lithuanian girls are very straightforward so they will let you know if they see any future in the relationship. If they don’t, they will probably dump you. Harsh reality.

Anyway, my biggest tip for dating Lithuanian women is to figure out your plan for the relationship very early on.

Dating sites for singles abroad would let you put that in your profile – whether you are willing to move or not.

Think about it and don’t become invested in the relationship before you are sure you are compatible in this aspect.

In conclusion, dating Lithuanian women can be a really good idea – and relatively easy, considering the gender disparity in the country.

These high-value, smart, and confident women are, however, not going to fall for players and they’re by no means desperate – so you still need to be a decent human being and play your part to be able to impress them.
