Taiwanese Girls Guide: Everything You Need to Know

If you’re looking to learn more about Taiwanese girls, you’re at the right place. Girls in Taiwan are really amazing and special, as you will see below.

I didn’t have many expectations as I touched down in Taipei. But I was surprised once I got to know the place (and the girls there) better. It’s pretty awesome!

People don’t sing the praises of girls in Taiwan like they do in other SEA countries. Thai girls and Filipinas take the cake from a popularity standpoint. I believe that is the case just because Thailand and The Philippines are more popular destinations.

But after meeting and dating girls in Taipei (Taiwan’s capital), I can confidently say that Taiwanese girls are way underrated. So let’s learn more about them below – especially what makes them so special.

Taiwanese Girls: What are they like in a relationship?

The Taiwanese dating culture is strongly tilted in a Western man’s favor. That is because foreigners are considered exotic here, so you already have an advantage here if you’re not of Asian descent.

Therefore, it’s not difficult for a traveler to get in a relationship with a beautiful Taiwanese woman. Nearly every expat I have met in Taipei had an Asian girlfriend – so you’re pretty much covered here.

But how do you meet Taiwanese girls? I prefer going the online route because it’s like shooting the bullseye, but we’ll cover all the methods below.

Meeting Taiwanese Girls Online

Online dating in Taiwan is a great way to meet women in the country. However, things are way different in Taipei than in other SEA countries.

See, Taiwanese girls can be a bit Westernized. Girls in Taiwan use Western dating sites because they want to meet foreign men. That’s just how it is.

As such, I found only two sites worked well here. Here they are:

Asian Dating was good in Taiwan. In Taipei, I found here a couple of girls that I met in person and they were special and amazing. I probably wouldn’t have met them otherwise. So this is why I strongly recommend this site.

It is not as popular as my second recommendation below. It is also a premium website where you will find lots of ladies from Taiwan and especially the Taipei area.

Since you do have to pay to create an account, this puts you in a better place when it comes to competition: fewer men are paying for this, so you’re already at an advantage.

If you are at least average looking, coming from a foreign country and are at least a decent person to talk to, then you should have no problems finding some interested Taiwanese ladies here.

Especially since, with AsianDating.com being a dating website, all women there are already actively looking for a relationship.

Do give it a try – I recommend creating an account a couple of weeks before arrival, so you can create some connections early and have at least a Taiwanese girl waiting to meet you when you land.

Tinder

Tinder in Taiwan tops all other free dating sites by a wide margin. You find more girls here than elsewhere, but the competition is a lot higher and also the time wasting is insane.

Quite frankly, I was impressed with the quality of girls here, compared to many other countries where I have used Tinder.

If you’re in Taipei, then Tinder is a must due to sheer quantity. But I’d still choose the safe route and create an account on Asian Dating, as mentioned above. Better be safe than sorry!

Day Game in Taiwan

Day game is not popular or common in Taipei. In fact, I didn’t find great results with it.

The girls are a bit shy and you can scare them if you approach directly on the street. The whole “losing face” thing plays into the interaction here.

Honestly, it was a bit weird. Every girl seems to be a business woman – too busy to care.

Try out the malls, universities, or my favorite spot – the Taipei Main Station. I had a few good approaches there, but overall I wouldn’t focus on day game while in Taiwan.

Online dating and nightlife offer a much better return on investment and they’re definitely a lot less awkward.

Nightlife in Taipei

Alright, let’s get into my favorite part of Taipei – the nightlife. Well, that’s the best part if you’re there to party and have fun at least.

Taiwanese girls love to go out and party quite often, but they are really careful about their behavior. Don’t expect them to get drunk and crazy!

This isn’t like other countries where people go out to get wasted. I didn’t meet a single Taiwanese girl who had more than three drinks my whole time in the country – and they were, at most, tipsy.

Which is a good thing, in my opinion. It’s not alcohol that makes (or should make) a woman more willing to date you. That’s just wrong!

Most girls I saw would have one drink on a night out or on a date. I’d have to push girls in Taiwan to get them to drink a cocktail at the bar and a glass of wine at my place – even that was considered much by them.

Also, the girls in Taiwan are generally smaller and petite so they probably get drunk faster. This is why they have learned not to overdo it. And I learned to appreciate that.

The good news is, as I said, that you don’t have to get a girl in Taiwan drunk to get her interested in you.

Many of the clubs here are Westernized. You’ll find girls dancing alone or with a friend.

There’s no Taiwanese guy guarding his group on most nights. It’s just you and some girls. All you have to do is open your mouth.

It’s easy to talk to and hit on 15-20 chicks a night in Taiwan. There are no barriers. Taipei nightlife is a target rich environment. But it’s not perfect…

The girls who go out all the time are used to foreigners.

You won’t be the first foreign guy to hit on her. You probably won’t be the first foreign guy to date her – if you get that far. At the same time, these girls are fine and you won’t have to deal with groups blocking your way on her.

But you’ll need to bring some Western-style game or she’ll swiftly shut you down. While I had some amazing success in the clubs in Taipei, I also had some brutal blowouts that I was not expecting whatsoever.

You gotta take the good with the bad when meeting Taiwanese girls at night clubs.

Dating Taiwan Girls

Many Taiwanese women dream of a foreign boyfriend. I didn’t come close to a true girlfriend in the country (as in long-term), but from what I observed – many an expat was happy with his Taiwanese girlfriend.

For girls who like white guys, but haven’t met many – you could be her dream. This would ensure she was a loyal girlfriend, which is what many of the expats here have seemed to found.

Or probably this is what all Taiwanese girls are – loyal and very nice, no matter what your race or country of origin is.

The funny thing was that even the Taiwanese girls who loved to party seemed like “good girls” in a sense.

For some reason, a number of the girls I met in clubs in Taipei had an innocent vibe to them that was hard to put a finger on.

What Are Taiwanese Girls Like?

What makes the girls in Taipei so special? Well, it’s a bit tough to put a finger on it, but I’ll try.

Taiwanese women are some of the most educated and intelligent in the region. As Taiwan has a decent economy, the girls here focus on their educating and developing a career.

These women aren’t desperate financially like many others in the region, which is a good thing.

While they don’t have a giant financial incentive to date you, there’s still a ton of Western attraction here.

These girls grow up idolizing Disney stars and love Western culture. Relationships between white males and Taiwan girls is a focal point of pop culture in the country.

Due to the foreigner love and business needs, many girls speak near fluent English. You won’t need to study a language to pick up girls in Taiwan.

English will suit you just fine. Now, this is typically a great thing. However, there is a downside. Taiwan girls can be exceptionally superficial.

Upper-class women in Taipei are not down to earth. These girls have high-end tastes and will frown upon a budget traveling foreigner staying in a hostel or rolling around in grungy clothing.

If you want to make a solid impression and go further with the top tier in Taiwan, you’ll need a nice place in the center and good style. Which kind of makes sense, right?

Taiwanese girls overall: Intelligent, educated ladies who speak English and have good jobs. They’re cute and love to party, but can also be superficial at times. Probably this has to do with age, as younger people tend to be more superficial.

Best Cities to Meet Girls in Taiwan

In certain countries, you have a plethora of cities to check out if you want to meet girls. There are a dozen or so cities in the Philippines where you can find an amazing lady.

In Taiwan, things are a little different. This is a very small country overall, so your options will be somewhat limited.

Taipei is where you’ll want to focus your efforts and time. It’s the biggest city in the country with over 7 million people in the metro area. The economy in Taipei is strong and the girls speak English.

Taiwanese Girls – My Verdict

Taiwanese women are underrated. That is a fact!

They aren’t as underrated as Indonesian girls, but they’re quite fun and really cute. If you enjoy nightlife, then Taipei could be an ideal city for you to spend a month or more.

You might fall in love with the city or country and not just the girls there. I’ve met many expats who went that route and I think it’s absolutely brilliant.
